Under the Sea
Since we are at home we had to make our own clay and then make something that goes under the sea. This one was a little challenging bc it took me a couple times to make the clay after i made it from there it was easy. it was easy to mold and didn’t crack easily and it was smooth and easy to work with. overall i enjoyed this project bc making the clay was fun and then making Nemo and Marlin was also fun too.
All About the Foods!
For this project we did All About the Foods. We made three things that go with our food my food was cake. I made a plate, cup, and plater. This project was very fun although i didn’t get to finish it because we are joe out of school i enjoyed this project.
Tea For Two
For this project I made two tea cups a saucer a spoon and and cookie plate. I did 3 different color pinkish red, blue, and black. The cups go with the other color plate.
Final Project
For my final project I did a plate. On my plate I did a glaze transfer with different glaze colors. When doing this project I struggled on how I was going to make my plate because plates can be shaped in many different shapes. I did make two plates but I liked this design better so i took the other one apart. Then I traced out the outline of it so I could make my glaze transfer after that I put the plate away and started working on my glaze transfer. After I had finished and put it on I then fired it and when it came out about two days later I put clear glaze on it. My plate is functional and I really enjoyed this project and if had the chance I would definitely do it again.
Slab Project
For this project we made for slabs and made them into something. I made a lantern for candles. I glazed it twice but it didn't come out the greatest. I don't think I would do this project again on my own but if I had to for class i would and try to make it much better.
Glaze Transfer
For this project we did glaze transfers. First we started with a drawing and then put sharpie over it and copied it. Then we too underglaze and painted it on the paper. Next we took the slab and transfered it on the clay then waited for it to dry and fired it. I really liked this project and i would love to do it again.
Coil Pots
For this Project we did Coil pots. The project had to be at least 8 inches. I made a milkshake out of coils then fired it and glazed it after with a white and red glaze on top and a nice pink/orange color on the bottom. I enjoyed making this project a lot I had to retry this project about 4 times and it frustrated me a lot but after I was done I realized I liked it a lot. I would do this project again if i had the choice.
3 Pinch Pots
For this project we had to do three pinch pots you could either do them all connected or separated I did separated. I did three bowls that go together but different colors. I you my two stamps from my last project with my signature T stamp in the middle any my brick stamp on the outside. I really enjoyed doing this project even tho I got very frustrated during this I learned from my mistakes. This was very fun and my favorite part was glazing.
Clay Stamps
This week I made two types of stamps a brick stamp for my first clay and a T for my signature stamp. I made a T for Turner which is my last name. This project took about two days to do. I really enjoyed doing these because I got to personalize my own stamp which is very cool. I would definitely try to do this again so I could have more personalizes stamps.
